Aristocrat is the deepest seat House of Trevi makes. At 34 inches front to back with a 31-inch back, it is built for sinking into rather than sitting up in, which is the opposite of what a shallow high-backed range offers. On a single seater that produces something unusual: a chair deeper than it is wide, 32 inches across and 34 inches deep, so it reads as a proper armchair rather than a small sofa.

The silhouette is deliberately plain. Square track arms, flat unbuttoned cushions, no piping or detailing to catch the eye, which means the velvet itself does all the work. On a large flat panel that is where velvet performs best: the pile shifts tone as you move around it, so the shade reads differently from the seat than from the back, and nothing competes with it.

Upholstered in velvet over a seasoned solid wood frame with high-density foam cushioning. It weighs 25 kilograms, which one adult can reposition alone. Basic carpenter assembly may be required on delivery. Three-year manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects.

Trevi Furniture Corp Pvt. Ltd. offers a 3-year manufacturer warranty on sofas, covering defects in the internal frame, foam and padding, and mechanical parts under normal household use. If a manufacturing defect is verified, the company will repair or replace the defective part at its discretion.

This warranty does not cover upholstery or fabric, normal wear and tear, fading due to sunlight, or damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, incorrect installation, or unauthorised repairs. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and for residential use.

How does Aristocrat compare with the other ranges?

It is the deepest seat we make, 34 inches front to back with a 31-inch back, so you sink into it rather than sitting upright. If you want an upright, space-saving shape instead, Ethos is 28 inches deep with a 34-inch back.

Why does the colour look uneven across the piece?

That is the velvet pile, not a fault. Velvet reflects light differently depending on which way the pile lies, so the seat and the back rarely read as exactly the same tone. Brushing with a soft dry cloth evens it out.

Is the sofa buttoned or tufted?

No. The cushions are flat and unbuttoned and the arms are square track arms, so the velvet carries the piece rather than the detailing.

Why is the chair deeper than it is wide?

At 32 inches across and 34 inches deep it is built as an armchair rather than a scaled-down sofa. The depth is what makes it comfortable to settle into for an evening.

Is assembly included?

Basic carpenter assembly may be required on delivery, and our carpenter handles it.

What does the warranty cover?
