Berry wine in velvet behaves differently from berry wine in flat fabric, and the difference grows with size. Velvet has a pile, so the shade shifts as you move around it: deeper where the pile lies away from you, lighter where it lies towards you. Across 50 inches of seat that produces a visible gradient along the length of the sofa, which is why velvet at this size looks richer than a flat fabric in the same colour ever could.

The two-seater is the hardest size to get right. Too narrow and it seats one adult comfortably and two awkwardly; too wide and it stops being a two-seater. At 50 inches across, this one gives two adults a seat each without the arms pressing in, while still fitting a wall a three-seater would overwhelm.

The frame is seasoned solid wood with medium-firm foam. It measures 50 inches wide, 32 inches deep and 31 inches tall, with the seat at 17 inches and PVC legs lifting the base 3 inches clear of the floor. Rated to 180 kilograms and weighing 25 kilograms. This warranty does not cover upholstery or fabric, normal wear and tear, fading due to sunlight, or damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, incorrect installation, or unauthorised repairs. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and for residential use.

Why does the colour look uneven along the sofa?

That is the velvet pile, not a fault. Velvet reflects light differently depending on which way the pile lies, so a 50-inch seat shows a visible gradient from one end to the other. Brushing with a soft dry cloth evens it out.
