The pile catches light, so the shade moves between sand and toffee depending on where you stand, giving it a depth flat beige never has. Of the three Bliss velvets this is the easiest to live with, because it works with the same things a grey sofa does while looking a good deal warmer.

The two-seater is the hardest size to get right. Too narrow and it seats one adult comfortably and two awkwardly; too wide and it stops being a two-seater. At 50 inches across, this one gives two adults a seat each without the arms pressing in, while still fitting a wall a three-seater would overwhelm.

This warranty does not cover upholstery or fabric, normal wear and tear, fading due to sunlight, or damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, incorrect installation, or unauthorised repairs. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and for residential use.

Does pale velvet mark easily?

It shows marks sooner than a dark shade, which is why we suggest dealing with spills the same day and keeping it out of high-traffic family rooms. The pile itself is hard-wearing.

Why does the colour look uneven along the sofa?

That is the velvet pile, not a fault. Velvet reflects light differently depending on which way the pile lies, so a 50-inch seat shows a visible gradient from one end to the other. Brushing with a soft dry cloth evens it out.

Will two adults fit comfortably?

Yes. At 50 inches wide the seating area gives two adults a full seat each.

How much wall space do I need?
